Skills Tutor UK Job Overview

• You will work with small groups of inmates to strengthen their skills, abilities, and behaviours while encouraging them to pursue their long-term goals as you instruct classes on-site
• The hours are 7:45 a.m. to 17:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday and from 7:45 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. on Friday
• Encourage and involve students who have had little or no formal education
• Help other staff members, team leaders, and education managers become familiar with the curriculum and specific work plans

Requirements

• Level 2 or 3 qualification in relevant subject
• A specialist in your subject
• Knowledge of delivering training
• Teaching or assessing qualification preferred
• Excellent organisational, prioritisation, and planning skills as well as the ability to take on responsibility
• Understanding of the policies and processes relating to data privacy, student health and safety, equality and diversity, and safety for all students
• The ability to engage with, motivate, and cater to the individual requirements of students from different backgrounds
• Valid DBS
