Questions from employers
How much does ESLstarter charge to recruit teachers?
We charge a one-off fee per teacher, agreed with you before we start and depending on the role and location. There's no upfront cost: you only pay once a teacher has arrived and started work with you.
What happens if a teacher leaves early?
If a teacher we placed leaves within their first three months, we find you a replacement at no extra charge and give your vacancy priority with our candidates.
Where do your teachers come from?
We recruit native-level English teachers from the UK, Ireland, the USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and South Africa, through ESLstarter, our sister company TEFL UK's network of more than 60,000 TEFL graduates, and our own job advertising.
Do you interview candidates?
We screen every candidate against your requirements and your country's visa rules, checking nationality, degree, TEFL and experience, and only send you people who meet them. You run your own interviews, so you always choose who joins your team.
Can you help with visas?
Yes. Your school sponsors the visa, and we guide candidates through gathering and legalising their documents so they're ready when you need them.
