The City
Xi'an, one of the oldest cities in China, exudes a massive sense of history, culture, and architectural splendor. This is one of the four great ancient capitals of China and eastern-most point of the Great Silk Road. The city is home to an array of world-famous sights such as the Mausoleum of Qin Shi Huang and his Terracotta Army, The Big Wild Goose Pagoda, and The Drum Tower, not to mention natural wonders such as Mount Hua, one of China's steepest mountains, and the awe-inspiring Mount Cuihua national park.
Xi'an hosted the Formula 1 Grand Prix in 2007 and it's population of 8.07 million people, train station servicing 80,000 passengers daily, and procession of international hotels, make it not only an ancient city, but also a major hub of modern China.
The School
Xi'an Gaoxin primary school was founded in 1995. It is located in the peaceful Xi'an Hi-tech Economic Development Zone. In the past 13 years since establishment, it has enjoyed a remarkable reputation and has successively won honors like one of "the key experimental schools" in Xi'an, Shaanxi. Apart from the strong faculty in regular school teaching, it has made acknowledged achievements in the field of foreign language teaching. It is not only an innovative school, but also one of the most modern and international schools in China. At the moment, we have around 5500 students from 6 to 13 years old.
We also have some fantastic positions at middle schools and primary schools throughout Xi'an province through Global. More details can be provided by Global upon request.
We are seeking enthusiastic and qualified full-time native English speaking teachers. The new semester will start in the beginning of September 1st. We always ask the new teachers to come to Xi’an half month earlier (before August 15th).
Salary Package
- 4500-8500RMB/month
- We offer RMB1000/month for accommodation
- RMB4500 for air ticket (After one year contract); RMB 2000 after half year contract
- The bonus of RMB2000 after one year contract
Requirement
- Nationality: English native speakers
- 20-26 hours per week, usually 22 hours
- Relevant training or qualification, more than two years teaching experience, administration experience.
- Enthusiastic, patience, energy, a love for children, a sense of humor, warm personality and flexibility.
- We will obtain a working visa for you to work legally in China.
