Claire Negus, Teacher Liaison – SA, NZ, IRE, US
Claire is the better half of ESLstarter. Before starting this agency, she worked as an ESL teacher in Thailand, Taiwan and South Korea.
When she is not furiously hammering away on her laptop, Claire enjoys pumping iron and travelling to far-off destinations that involve as many shoe shops as possible.
Phil Negus, Teacher Liaison – UK, CAN, AUS
Phil is the other half of the founding members of ESLstarter. Having spent several blissful years delivering English grammar lessons to bemused looking Asians in a broad Yorkshire accent, Phil decided it was time to help others achieve the dream of teaching in the far-east.
In his spare time, Phil enjoys sampling copious amounts of Korean cooking and the odd mountain trek.
Russ Brompton, Marketing – UK, IRE
Russ joined us in 2007 and is our man in the UK.
Russ brings a wealth of TEFL experience to the table and when not talking teaching, can often be spotted on a lone surfboard braving the North Sea.
Lauren Ferneysough, Marketing – USA, SA
Lauren is a big fan of sashimi and an even bigger fan of pondering the intricacies of the Korean language.
She lists her favorite Korean experience as an autumn stroll through Seoraksan national park followed by a spot of karaoke.
